Mini chocolate pies could be made anytime but they are certainly a nice addition to holiday cookie trays.
Kiss Pies — Christmas Kisses
1 batch homemade or refrigerated
pie crust,
Hershey Kisses® (use
original or any of the new flavors)
1 egg white whisked with 1
tablespoon water
Granulated sugar / Powdered
sugar for dusting
1.
Preheat oven to 350°.
2.
Roll out pie
dough onto a lightly floured counter top.
3.
Use a 2½” to 3”
round cutter to cut rounds of pie dough.
5.
Bring two sides
of the dough to the center and press; push center of remaining dough to the
center and press, being sure to seal all edges.
6.
Brush each
Christmas Kiss with additional egg white wash then sprinkle with granulated
sugar.
7.
Bake for 20 to 28
minutes or until they are golden.
Christmas Kisses are ready to go into the oven. |
8.
Remove and let
cool for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling rack.
9. Dust each with powdered sugar and serve.
