While I like the idea and the look of cake pops, I was looking for something much less labor intensive. These cute reindeer pops fit the bill! I used wooden skewers that fit into the holes of a small colander for a unique way to present the pops.
Reindeer Pops
8
large marshmallows
8 wooden skewers or lollipops
sticks
Wax paper
Melted chocolate chips (add
a drop or 2 of veg oil to chips),
almond bark or candy wafers
16 tiny twist pretzel knots
16 mini
M&M’s®
8 red mini M&M’s® or
red hots
1.
Insert a wooden
skewer of lollipop stick into the side of each large marshmallow.
2.
Lay sets of two
pretzel knots onto the wax paper lined cookie sheet, so that they are touching
each other.
3.
Melt chocolate.
4.
Dip each
marshmallow into the chocolate, tap off excess. Place the flat side of each
dipped marshmallow onto a set of pretzel knots.
